School from 05h30 AM on race day.
GENERAL INFORMATION

Prize giving only
for prize winners – will start from 09:00 – 10km, 10:00 – 21.1km as soon as the
results have been verified by the FS Technical delegate.

Results will be
available on the Chiptimer website, https://www.chiptimer.co.za within 72 hours
post the race.

Route map will be
made available – social, posted at the venue. Athletes need to familiarize
themselves with the route
·
No tog bag or
gazebo facilities.
·
Refreshments will
be sold at the finish line
RACE OFFICIAL START TIME: 06:30 AM
ü Spectators must follow the same access
protocols to enter Castle Bridge School Sports Field as runners.
ü Parking is available.
ü Prize giving will start as soon as all
the winners are done, and the results verified by the FS Technical delegate.
ü Route map will be made available on
social media as well as printed and put up at the venue.
ü Toilet facilities will be available,
however there are no shower or undress rooms.
ü Medical officials will roam the route
and a medical station will be near the finish.

1.
This event takes place in accordance with the rules of WA, ASA and AFS.
2. Athletes indemnify the national, provincial,
and regional bodies, sponsors, and organizers of the race against any or all
actions of whatsoever nature, whatever the same may arise out of them
participation in the race.
3.
All athletes participate at their own risk.
4.
Athletes acknowledge by entering the event
that they are medically fit to participate.
5.
All athletes must supply the name and contact
number of their next of kin on both the race number and entry form.
6.
Age tags are compulsory for all participants if running for a prize.
7.
Registered athletes partake in club colors and
ASA License
8.
Temporary number to be worn in front and, the
race number does not cover the ASA license number.
9.
There will be refreshments and water sachets every
3KM
10.
International athletes must provide a valid
clearance certificate (from their country of origin and ASA) as well as a copy
of their passport to the organizers and chief referee prior to entry of the
event.
11. International athletes are not allowed to run with an ASA Provincial license.
12.
International athletes are not allowed to run
in club colours (neutral kit must be worn) unless such club exists in their
country of origin, or they are in possession of a refugee status permit or are
naturalized citizens of RSA. (Refer to WA rule 4.), prizes will be withheld if
this rule is not adhered to. (P31-ASA Rules and Regulations -Waver/Disclaimer),
13.
Permission not granted to partake: No
animals/pets, no iPods or listening devices, no blades, cyclist or mechanically
operated devices, no wheel charts/prams which are mechanically or manually
operated by participants or disable wheelchair athletes.
14.
No late starters will be allowed. That is
later than 15 minutes from the group start time.
15.
All instructions from traffic, race and
technical officials, as well as marshals must be obeyed.
16.
Only registered club athletes who have
completed all the information required in the race entry are eligible for
prizes.
17.
All prize winners must complete a form of
consent on payment to be made where applicable.
18.
No refunds on entry fees if race or distance
been cancelled or changed to virtual event
19.
Leading vehicle separate women and men in
different races, except 1 leading vehicle for the fun run
20.
Athletes may not run with another athlete’s
race ticket unless by prior arrangement with the race organizer.
21.
The race organizer retains the right to refuse
entry and reject persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol, who are
disorderly, or engage in inappropriate behavior, vandalism or to evade paying
for admission
22.
Athletes who participate without buying a race
entry will be disqualified, will not be entitled to any benefits associated
with the race and will be liable for a double entry fee charge.
23.
Habitual offenders (those who regularly
participate without purchasing a race entry) will be called to an AFS
disciplinary.
24.
AFS Green Race: Littering is not allowed.
Athletes are to dispose of any litter in litter area, Athletes can be
disqualified if they litter,
25.
Participants may make use of own foreseen
water bottle filled with water. From start up to finish of distance. To be
filled up during the race at the water table if a need for. Being part of the
running gear.
26.
The Safety at Sport and Recreational Events
Act 2 of 2010 will be strictly adhere to.
27.
Age restriction 21.1KM – 16 years & older; 10KM – 14 years & older; and 5KM Fun Run – 9
years & older (children should be supervised by a parent/guardian)
28.
Toilet facilities will be available. However,
there are no showers or dress rooms.
29. Medics will roam the route and medical station will be available near the finish.
