2025 Northridge Mall Marathon

GENERAL INFORMATION

Permanent 2025 ASA license number needed or 2025 Temporary license (available at R50) must be purchased with entry for 42.2km, 21.1km & 10km

• Every fi­nisher will receive a medal; waterpoints every 3km’s; Circle routes

• Wearing of age bib compulsory and must be visible, ASA license numbers must be worn on front and back, temporary license on front, timing chip must be worn

• All winners must show ID/Driver’s License/Passport if requested

• Medical services available at the fi­nish line and roaming the route – VR Med 082 074 1617

• Distance markers and route boards every kilometer; Direction arrows, boards and road markings on the route itself

• Cut-off times: 42.2km – 5hrs, 21.1km – 3hrs, 10km – 2hrs

• No earphones (except hearing aids), pets or prams or any electronical devices are permitted

• Toilet facilities available at start/­finish. No shower facilities. Tog bag and sleeping facilities are not available

• Participants must familiarize themselves with the route on the participating distance to be run

• Parking is available but at own risk/responsibility on open area opposite OFM as well as Northridge Mall (A short walk)

• Leading vehicles for ­first men and women in the different distances

• Runners must observe all Health and Safety Regulations

• Gazebo areas for clubs are available in parking area inside OFM (Arrangements must be made)

Prize money – Age category prizes for ­1st place M/F in Junior, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

• After results have been approved and made available by AFS to Delegate, appeals must be made within 30min

• Prize-giving: At Finish line – 10km – 08:00 | 21.1km – 08:30 | 42.2km – 09:30 (Lucky Draws to be collected at ­finish line)

• Prizes: Gold, Silver and Bronze medal for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall for 42.2km, 21.1km & 10km (male and female)

42.2km’s 1st Prize – R3,000 2nd Prize – R2,000 3rd Prize – R1,000 (overall, male and female)

21.1km’s 1st Prize – R1,500 2nd Prize – R1,000 3rd Prize – R750 (overall, male and female)

10km’s 1st Prize – R1,000 2nd Prize – R750 3rd Prize – R500

By entering the event I understand that I am bound by the rules and regulations of the event including those of WA, ASA and AFS. I warrant that I am in good health and aware of the risk and danger of the physical nature of the sporting event, and do not claim ignorance of these

risks and dangers. I hereby accept that I participate in the event entirely at my own risk and I release and discharge, to the fullest extent allowed in law, the organizer of the event, sponsors provincial and national athletic bodies and all local authorities from the responsibility,

liability or costs related to any injury, loss or damage of whatsoever nature, including pre-and post-race activities. I further agree and warrant that if at any time I believe conditions to be unsafe, I will immediately discontinue further participation in the activity. Permission is

granted in terms of section 51 of the Electronic Communication Transactions Act 25 of 2002, to use my name, race information, photographs, video tapes, broadcasts, telecast in which you may appear free of charge. (Popi Act).
